Step into living history at Blackjack Mountain Horse Sanctuary, home to more than 200 Colonial Spanish Mustangs whose rare bloodlines were once in danger of disappearing from Oklahoma. 

Come learn about their history, meet members of the herd, and discover the important work being done to preserve these rare and treasured bloodlines. You will fall in love with them. Don’t just take our word for it come experience them for yourself. 

How long do visits last?

Visits usually last about one to two hours but times may vary depending on the season, where, and how spread out the horses are. Feel free to photograph and video the horses and we hope you will share some photos with us.

is photography allowed?

Drone photography is not allowed as this frightens the horses. Our first priority is always for the care and well being of these rare incredible animals. 

Only cell phone photography is permitted.  If you would like to use your professional camera please contact us.
